The HELENA was built in 1875. She is the oldest barge, still sailing, in The Netherlands. The ship is fully restored after an extensive restoration. Step on board and enjoy!
WELCOME ON BOARD
The HELENA is self-supporting and does not depend on funding. Instead, she sails with groups up to 48 persons, and she can also be used alongside in port. The ship has all the facilities for a comfortable stay on board and meets all safety requirements. From her homeport Rotterdam this monumental ship sails all inland waters, even up to Basel, Swiss.

The HELENA was built in 1875 specially for sailing on the Rhine. After an extensive restoration, this extraordinary ship is brought back to her original state. The ship is classified as a monument. The Dutch Ministry of Culture has described the ship to be “The top of Dutch cultural heritage’.
