The ‘Oosterschelde’ makes fascinating voyages on all the world’s seas and oceans. You can join in this extraordinary adventure, either as individual passenger or with a group with a maximum of 24 persons.

VOYAGES AND EXPEDITIONS

ADVENTUROUS TRAVEL Every year there is an extensive programme of trips to a variety of destinations. You can sign on individually for a long weekend to England, a theme or holiday trip to an attractive locality, a crossing to another continent or a leg of the Tall Ships’ race. The trips vary in length from one day to several weeks. Sailing experience is not required as the crew will be happy to explain to you the operation of every line, halyard and sheet. The vessel is comfortably furnished and fitted and provides every comfort. You will be assigned to the crew (unless you prefer not to be) and involved with all duties on board. From navigation, steering and standing watch to trimming the sails.

EXPEDITIONS The ‘Oosterschelde’ has become a favourite of sea and nature fans. The main feature always is active and direct exposure to the sea, the nature and the sailing. On expeditions to special destinations such as Antarctica, Spitsbergen and Indonesia (nature) guides accompany the expedition to help you to get acquainted with all facets of the area being visited. The ship’s library provides you with extensive background information on flora and fauna and on the maritime history.
