Voyage description
Nowhere else you will see so many Tall Ships together as in an arrival and departure harbour of the Tall Ships Races. The ships attract hundreds of thousands visitors. After a day of enjoying the festivities in Frederikstad, we depart in the Parade of Sail with the other ships out to sea.
A Cruise in Company is not a race, so besides lovely sailing days we have time to explore the beautiful Norwegian coast. Wind will determine where we will be going, but the south coast of Norway is very friendly with lots of small islands and beautiful spots to drop our anchor. Small towns like Mandal or Egersund are worth a visit. Just like the harbour of Stavanger. Here we start seeing the impressive fjords that Norway is famous for. During a day trip on shore we will climb the Preikestolen for a breathtaking experience.

Preikestolen is a steep and massive cliff 604 metres above Lysefjorden, The top of the cliff is approximately 25 by 25 metres (82 by 82 feet) and almost flat. There is a good but heavy track leading to the top. Expect a hike of about 4 to 5 hours to the top and back.

Just north of Stavanger you will find the Bømlafjord. On this sheltered water between steep mountainsides we sail further north. Bergen is the second largest city of Norway is know for the ‘Brygge’, the old houses alongside the harbour. With the old waterfront filled with sailing ships it is a fantastic final destination.
